A squeaky sound or grinding noise could be a sign of bad rollers, bearings or gearmotors.

It’s Saturday morning and your facility is quiet, what better time to check for any non-normal sounds coming from your conveyor system. 

During this time without all of the daily production sounds, is the best time to walk the system. Initiate each of the conveyor lines and listen for squeaking sounds.  You will pinpoint these rollers, bearings or even gear motors that should be replaced to prevent a downtime event during production runs.
