Thoroughly clean dust and debris from beneath conveyors.  Clean off photo sensors when complete.

Does plastic banding get wrapped around your conveyor drive drums?  Is there debris or pieces of board that have been shoved beneath the conveyor?  If you’ve answered “Yes” to either of these questions, then you need to have a house keeping program in place. 

Strapping around drives, makes the motor work harder and may become hot. Dust beneath the conveyor may begin to smolder from the extra heat generated from the motor. It only gets worse from there. Cleaning beneath the conveyor is very important to the efficiency and safety of your facility. Please schedule regular cleanings and don’t forget to dust off the photo electrics after cleaning.
