Our New Vice President of Sales is a Familiar Face

If you have been in Corrugated for long then Paul Gilliam should be a familiar face.  After all, he has been working in the industry since 1975.  While still in High School, Paul worked half days as an Engineers Assitant at Economation. His duties included fetching prints, helping make minor changes in drawings, and learning the ropes of engineering and material handling.  After graduating High School Paul spent the next 10 years working as a Mechanical Designer before moving into an Application Engineer position with Pentek. In 1995 he joined TEI now Alliance Machine Systems as a Sales Representative, followed by his first stint with Systec Conveyors in 2003. In 2007 Paul went on to work for Hycorr where he learned the ins and outs of converting equipment.  In his only adventure outside of Corrugated, Paul joined Haysen where he sold flexible packaging machines, but he then returned to Corrugated when the opportunity came to work for Sun Automation Group.

After 10 years away, Paul is back with Systec Conveyors, and we could not be more excited!  He brings 32 years of Material Handling experience and 10 years of converting equipment experience to our team. Not only does Paul understand the selling process but his background in Engineering and Inside and Outside sales gives him a complete overview of the project process.  At a time when Systec is focused on increasing our product offering, and bolstering our service department to offer regional service personnel, his joining us could not come at a better time.

If Paul does not have his hands in Corrugated, you can find them on a vintage motorcycle.  He has a bike shop right here in Indianapolis, Chemical Room Cycle Works, where he restores 70’s era motorcycles, after all we can't be all corrugated all the time.  We are glad to have someone with us who is used to working on a few basket cases!
